I feel immensely pleased to be shouldering the noble responsibility of this legendary college that has been headed earlier by twelve honorable principals those escorted this institution to today's heights. I am very grateful to honorable President Shri A. B. Patil former minister Government of Karnataka, vice president Shri G. S. Indi sir, all the respected directors of SDVS Sangh, secretary G. C. Kotagi sir, administrator Shri. B. A. Pujeri sir for their wholehearted support to the betterment of this institution.

The college has a grand history of 5 decades and since its inception on 1st June 1970 it has evolved from a mere chalk and talk teaching to the current ICT enabled smart pedagogy. The strength of students taking admission to the college is also on the rise. The institution has been assessed and accredited by NAAC through three cycles with the third cycle grade of B++..

Majority of the students coming to the Institution have rural and economically weaker backgrounds. Hence the college makes efforts to cater needs of such students because it knows the necessities of them very well. Students seek this college solely because of the unadulterated reputation, devoted faculty, individual care, congenial infrastructure as well as quality academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

Our NSS, NCC, Youth Red Cross, Scouts & Guides, Writers Club, Women Empowerment Cell, Placement Cell etc try to inculcate ethical and leadership values and instill confidence among students so that they gain the necessary momentum to brighten their careers.

I am also happy to announce through this message that another feather is added to our esteemed Institution by introducing M. Com Post Graduation programme from August 2018. I am sure the students always strive to uphold the dignity of our college and paint their future with flying colors.
